S.P. Electric Industry is one of the largest manufacturing in Thailand. Its product line included all types of Oil-Immersed Distribution Transformers under the name of FL - FULL LIGHT®. In 1997, the company have been assessed and registered as meeting the requirements of ISO 9000, the international standard for Quality System.
S.P. Electric Industry was found in 1977 largely through the concerted efforts of Chanvit Panasantipap and his wife, Sompis Panasantipap. It started by producing Ballasts on the basic of a family business management. Along with its efforts on continuous quality improvement, its products have perceived Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TIS)in 1982. To better its position in the marketplace and serve the needs of the market, the company created and developed advanced types of Ballasts conforming the requirements of TIS. The attempt, which produced Ballasts, was so successful it paid all its liabilities and gained in profits.
As a result, it expanded operations through the production lines of Oil-Immersed Transformers in the range of 1 - 3000 KVA and Electronic Rapid Start Ballast High Power Factor in 1989. Its major clients included large projects in government, manufacturing, bank, department store, hotel and other places requiring bright volume of light. Recently in 1997, its manufacture of oil immersed transformers have been operating a quality system conforming to TIS Standard and ISO 9001 Version 2000 from MASCI-Management System Certification Institute (Thailand).

เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี เริ่มก่อตั้งเป็นห้างหุ้นส่วน เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ.2520 โดยเริ่มต้นด้วยการทำบัลลาสต์เป็นระบบครอบครัว และเริ่มพัฒนากระบวนการการผลิตและผลิตภัณฑ์โดยยึดมั่นในการผลิตสินค้าที่มีคุณภาพ ภายใต้เครื่องหมายการค้า FL-FULL LIGHT® จนได้รับมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรม (มอก. 23-2521) ในปี พ.ศ.2525 และต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2528 หจก. เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี ได้ผลิตบัลลาสต์เพาเวอร์แฟกเตอร์สูงใช้สตาร์ทเตอร์ (HIGH POWER FACTOR BALLAST), บัลลาสต์แสงจันทร์ (BALLAST FOR HIGH PRESSURE MERCURY LAMP), บัลลาสต์ไฮเพรสเชอร์โซเดียม (BALLAST FOR HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LAMP) และต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2532 หจก. เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี ได้จดทะเบียนเป็น บริษัท เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี จำกัด ในวันที่ 24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2532 มีทุนจดทะเบียน 1,000,000 บาท (หนึ่งล้านบาท) บริษัท เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี จำกัด ได้ขยายกิจการการผลิตหม้อแปลงไฟฟ้า (OIL IMMERSED DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER ) ขนาด 1-3000 KVA. และบัลลาสต์อิเล็คทรอนิกส์ (ELECTRONIC BALLAST FOR FLUORESCENT LAMP) และหม้อแปลงอิเล็คทรอนิกส์สำหรับหลอดฮาโลเจน (ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMER ELEKTRONISCHER TRANSFORMATOR FOR HALOGEN) และในปี พ.ศ. 2539 บริษัท เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี จำกัด ได้เพิ่มทุนจดทะเบียนเป็น 5,000,000 บาท (ห้าล้านบาท) ดำเนินการผลิตสินค้า ให้สอดคล้องกับระบบคุณภาพ ISO 9000 จนได้รับการรับรองระบบคุณภาพ (ISO 9001 Version 2000) จากสถาบันรับรองมาตรฐานไอเอสโอ (สรอ.) ในผลิตภัณฑ์หม้อแปลงไฟฟ้า ในปี พ.ศ. 2540 และได้รับ มอก.885 2532 มาตรฐานด้านความ ปลอดภัยสำหรับบัลลาสต์อิเล็คทรอนิกส์ เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2537
จากประสบการณ์ความชำนาญ ความรู้ และการนำคอมพิวเตอร์เข้ามาใช้ออกแบบหม้อแปลง ทำให้บริษัทสามารถผลิตหม้อแปลงที่มีคุณภาพ รวดเร็วและหลากหลายขึ้น ย่อมทำให้ผู้บริโภคมั่นใจได้ว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ผลิตโดย บริษัท เอส.พี. อีเล็คทริค อินดัสตรี จำกัด ภายใต้เครื่องหมายการค้า FL-FULL LIGHT ผู้บริโภคจะได้รับผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีคุณภาพดีที่สุด เป็นไปตามความต้องการของลูกค้า
